Internally injured when earth caved in on him while he was excavating for W.E.Cole at Belle Vernon on Thursday,April 27,1916,William Thomas Clark,aged 48 years was internally injured so that he died ten minutes after being taken to the Charleroi-Monessen hospital. The cave-in was caused by the loosening of the ground due to the recent heavy rains. Mr. Clark is survived by four children,Walter,Arthur,Charles and Anna May,all at home. His wife whose name previous to marriage was Lucinda Ellen Laughlin of Coal Valley,died May 19,1914. Mr. Clark was born at West Columbia but he has spent the last several years in Belle Vernon. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. J.B. Taylor of the Belle Vernon Methodist Episcopal Church.
