William Terry Barrass;61;of 540 Speer St.Belle Vernon;died Thursday;June 22;2000;at 12:40 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born Jan.15;1939;in North Charleroi;a son of the late Thomas and Eleanor Graham Barrass. Mr.Barrass was a lifelong resident of the North Belle Vernon community. He retired from the strip mill shipping department from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel;Allenport plant. He was a life member of the North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department and served in the U.S.Army Reserves. Mr.Barass was a member of the East Belle Vernon Athletic Association;and the Pitt Golden Panthers Booster Club of the Mon Valley. Survivors include his wife;Carol Garofalo Barrass;two daughters;Jennifer Barass and Jessica Barass;both at home;his mother-in-law;Madeline Benedict Garofalo;two sisters-in-law;Michele Romasco and Pat Woods;and a brother-in-law;Michael Garofalo;and their families. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his father-in-law;Michael Garofalo. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the LEONARD J.PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME;family owned and operated;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. A Prayer service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home;followed by funeral Mass at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon;with pastor;the Rev.John R.Cindric;V.F.;as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department will conduct services in the funeral home Sunday at 7 p.m.
