Obituary

William Stark,Jr.,43,of 23 Carson street,Speers was instantly killed at 8:40 Saturday morning,November 24,1934,when struck by an automobile driven by Andrew C.Zemany,23,of California.  The accident happened on the Charleroi-Speers road just outside the borough limits of Charleroi within 150 feet of the spot where John A.Wilkes was killed recently.  According to the highway patrol,which investigated,Mr.Stark was walking on the right side of the road enroute to his home after spending the night in Charleroi.  Zemany traveling toward Charleroi claims the man either fell of jumped directly in the path of his machine and was knocked to the ground.  Mr.Zemany immediately sropped his car and placed the injured man in his machine and started for the Charleroi-Monessen hospital,but the victim died before reaching the hospital.  He had suffered a fracture of the skull,and both legs were broken.  The deceased was the son of the late William and Jennie Stark and is survived by one daughter;Marion at home,also three sisters,Mrs.Louis Evans of Speers,Mrs.V.C.McCracken of Lover and Mrs.D.A.Davenport of Belle Vernon and two brothers,Dewey of Fayette City and John of Monessen.  Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 from the late home with interment in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
