William Stafford;66;of First and Water Sts.;Allenport;was dead on arrival at Charleroi-Monessen Hospital Thursday;Oct.5;1967 at 2:45 p.m. Mr.Stafford;a retired employee of the Allenport plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co.;was a veteran of World Wars I and II;having served with the U.S.Navy. He was a member of the Ancient Order of the Deep;U.S.Navy;American Legion Post 92 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5280;both of Lonaconing;Md.;and Disabled American Veterans;Washington Chapter 125. He was born at Lonaconing;Md.;on Jan.24;1901. Surviving are his widow;Vivian Price Stafford;his stepfather;Hayward Duckworth of Lonaconing. Friends are being received at the Ruth Eckert Funeral Home;Roscoe;from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Service there Sunday;Oct.at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev.David Griffith;pastor of Allenport Methodist Church;officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev.Charles Sowden;pastor of Speers Methodist Church. Interment;Belle Vernon Cemetery. Ruth and Emil Eckert are funeral directors.
