Rev. William Slaughter,45,of 512 Second street, Brownsville,died Tuesday,Dec. 20,1955,at 3:45 p.m. in the Brownsville Hospital. He was pastor of the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church,Brownsville. He also served formerly as pastor of Tradford Mt. Bethel Baptist Church and the Ebenezer Baptist Church,of Monongahela. He was a member of the Allegheny and Youghiogheny Associations and the Brownsville Ministerium where he was a former secretary. Surviving are his wife,Mrs. Thelma Slaughter;two children,Sandra and James Sndrew;three sisters,Mrs. Maddia Eilise,of St.Paul,Minn.,and two others in Texas and one brother,Joseph Slaughter of St. Paul,Minn. Friends will be received at the late home after 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and the remains will be removed to the church to lie in state after 3 p.m. Thursday.
