William S.Vagli;65;of Mt.Pleasant R.D.5;died Saturday;Dec.15;1979;in Shadyside Hospital;Pittsburgh. He was born Nov.10;1915;in Monessen;son of Vertighe Corti Vagli and the late Lawrence Vagli. He had attended Monessen public schools and was a retired supervisor of the cold reduction department of the Irvin Works of U.S.Steel Corp. Upon retiring;he formed the William S.Vagli & Associates Consulting firm;a consultant to steel firms with worldwide operations. He was a member of St.Cajetan Church of Monessen. Surviving are his widow;Lillian T.Vagli of Laurelville;Pa.;sons;Robert E.Vagley of Alexandria;Va.;and Dr.Richard T.Vagley of Oakmont;Pa.;one sister;Mrs.William (Rosemary) Hans of Monessen;one brother;Raymond Vagli of Monroeville and two granddaughters. Friends are being received until 9 p.m.Monday evening in the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.;1209 Grand Blvd.;Monessen. A Mass of Christian Burail will be celebrated Tuesday at noon in St.Cajetan Church;Monessen. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery;Kecksburg.
