Willaim MacDonald,68 years old, of Belle Vernon,died Monday morning,June 3,1946. He was a native of Maryland and resided at Vanderbilt some years ago. For about 30 years he was a mine foreman for the Pittsburgh Coal Company at West Newton and Belle Vernon. He was a member of the Presbyterain Church at Belle Vernon. Besides his widow, Henrietta Speelman MacDonald, he is survived by the following children, William MacDonald of West Newton,Robert MacDonald and Mrs. Robert Bryner of Monessen, Mrs. Gertrude Danner of Youngwood,Harry,Russell and James MacDonald of Belle Vernon and Ralph MacDonald of Pittsburgh. Also surviving are three married sisters, Jennie of Scranton,Elizabeth and Agnes of High House, one brother, John MacDonald of Pittsburgh and 13 grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at Toner's funeral home, Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
