Word had been received here of the death of William R.Smith;78;of Monroe;Pa.late Sunday afternoon;July 27;1958. He was a former resident of Monessen and was associated for over 40 years with the former Moats Lumber Co.of Monessen. Mr.Smith was born Dec.29;1879. Survivors include his wife;Anna Mae;two sons;Russell (Buck) Smith of Monessen and George Smith of Library;a daughter;Mrs.Joseph (Della) Kist of Laurel Gardens;Pittsburgh;four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers;Blaine and George;both of Monessen and a sister;Mrs.Elmer Campbell of Fresno;Calif. Friends will be received at the Harry Harper Funeral Home;McKee Ave.;Monessen.
