William R. Werton of 321 Underwood street, Roscoe,died in the Presbyterian Hospital,Pittburgh,Wednesday,May 22,1957,at 12:30 a.m. He was born in Newell,October 31,1875,the son of Joseph and Martha Hollowood Werton. Years ago,he was a merchant in Roscoe,and in 1954,retired as a butcher at Johnny's Market,Roscoe. He was a member of the Roscoe Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife,Agnes Morrison Werton,and one sister,Mrs. Mary Gollick,St.Petersburg,Florida. Friends will be received at the Parkins Funeral Home,Roscoe. Services will be held there Friday,May 21,at 3 p.m.,and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Byron C. Parkins is the funeral director.
