Obituary

William O. Smalley, 77, of Belle Vernon passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 in Mon Valley Hospital. A son of the late James D. Smalley, he was born in Carroll Twp. on August 22, 1940. William was a past member of the United Auto Workers Union and was an Air Force veteran. Throughout his life, he had been employed by Chrysler Corp., Corning Glass, Volkswagon, and Dyna Nobel. Survivors include a son and two daughters, as well as two brothers; Grant Smalley and James Smalley. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clarene Swanson Smalley on September 2, 1996, and two brothers; Glenn Smalley and Robert Smalley. Friends will be received 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. Saturday in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon. 724-929-5300 www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday in the funeral home with Rev. Alan Olson officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
