William McLaughlin of 312 Wood St.,Belle Vernon,died suddenly on Thursday,May 241984,at 8:30 p.m. in the Mon Valley Hospital. He was 71. Mr. McLaughlin was born Nov. 7,1912,in Monessen,a son of the late William and Lena Cox McLaughlin. He had been a resident of the Belle Vernon area the past 31 years. Mr. McLaughlin retired in 1971 from the Monessen Page Division of the American Chain and Cable Company. Survivors include his wife, Isabelle Steinmiller McLaughlin;one son,Phillip W. McLaughlin of North Huntingdon Twp.;one daughter, Mrs. Steve (Martha) Jones of Richmond, Va.,one brother,Robert McLaughlin of Belle Vernon R.D.3 and four grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home, 700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home,with the Rev. Daniel Wolf,pastor of the Norwin Alliance Church,North Huntingdon,PA.,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
