Born in Lilly;Pa.;he had resided in Monessen for more than 30 years. He was employed at the Peoples Natural Gas Co.in Monessen and was a member of St.Leonard R.C.Church;Monessen. Surviving are his wife;Mrs.Zeta Baldwin Horan;daughters;Mrs.Max (Lucille) Badock;Fairhope;Mrs.William (Dolores) Gallagher;Jacksonville;Fla.;Mrs.Zane (Joan) Deneen;in the state of South Carolina and Sara;Kathleen and Colleen;all at home;sons;William Horan Jr.and Thomas;Monessen;Verne;Belle Vernon and Leroy and David;at home;fourteen grandchildren. His father;Peter Horan of Monessen also survives;along with four sisters;Mrs.Sammuel (Irene) Morton;Pittsburgh;Mrs.Philip (Hazel) Carlson;Monessen;Mrs.Walter (RoseMarie) Konx;Belle Vernon and Mrs.William (Patricia) Smith in the state of California;two brothers;James of Charleroi;who had been a lieutenant in the Monessen Police Department for a number of years and Joseph;Allenport. Friends are being received at the Billick Funeral Home;Monessen;from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday;May 15;with blessing services at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m.and service of Requiem High Mass at 10 a.m.from St.Leonard R.C.Church;Monessen.
