William M. Ducky Venneri Sr.;77;of 702 Grant St.;Belle Vernon;died on Monday;Dec.30;1991;at 7:30 a.m.in his home. He was born on Dec.20;1914;in Belle Vernon;a son of the late Charles and Jennie Spadafore Venneri. Mr.Venneri was Catholic by faith and was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon. He was a former employee in the Electrical Department at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation;Allenport plant;where he retired from in 1977. Mr.Venneri was the former mayor of Belle Vernon for 22 1/2 years;and a former councilman in Belle Vernon. He was past commander and deputy commander of the Belle Vernon American Legion. He was a member and past president of the Belle Vernon Fire Department. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II;serving in the South Pacific;where he received a bronze star. Mr.Venneri was preceded in death by a daughter;Wilma Jean Dudgeon;who died in 1972. Survivors include his wife;Ethel Sethman Venneri;two sons;Arthur Baumgardner and William M.Venneri Jr.;both of Belle Vernon;one daughter;Mrs.Vincent (Vicki) Costanza of Charleroi;one brother;Eugene (Vic) Venneri of Belle Vernon;one sister;Helen Thieser of Belle Vernon R.D.;and six grandchildren. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where a Blessing service will be held Friday at 10 a.m.;followed by interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.
