Obituary

William M.Doyle of North Charleroi died Thursday,Oct.13,1988,at his home. He was 61. Mr.Doyle was born Aug.8,1927,in Charleroi,a son of the late Forrest and Anna Mae Beatty Doyle. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church,VFW Post 167,American Legion Post 22 and F&AM Lodge 615,all of Charleroi. Mr.Doyle was also a member of Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite,Syria Temple,Mon Valley Caravan No.17,the Slavic Citizens Club of North Charleroi and United Steelworkers Local 1229. A U.S.Navy veteran of World War II,he was retired from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.,Monessen plant. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother,Carl Doyle,and by a sister,Evelyn Watkins. Survivors include his wife,Retha Mae Lewandowsky,a son,William M.Doyle Jr.of the state of California,two daughters,Patricia Westwood of Dunlevy and Mrs.Gary (Kathy) Faieta of Columbus,Ohio,three sisters,Thelma Albright and Beatrice Grant,both of North Charleroi,and Genevieve Reynard of Omaha,Neb.,and four grandchildren,Tracey Ghilani and Michelle,Melissa and Michael Faieta. Friends will be received Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home,Inc.,226 Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi,where services will be held Monday,Oct.17,at 1 p.m.with the Rev.Paul R.Milliken,pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Charleroi,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home,Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
