William Lomax Jr.of 374 Sixth Ave.;Brooklyn;N.Y.;formerly of Donora;died Tuesday;Dec.17;1985;in St.Clair Hospital;Manhattan;N.Y. He was 58. Mr.Lomax was born Feb.2;1927;in North Charleroi;a son of the late William and Ruby Lomax. A graduate of Donora High School;he was employed by Tony’s Prime Meats;Inc.of New York. He was formerly employed for 20 years with the former Donora Division of U.S.Steel Corp. Mr.Lomax served with the U.S.Navy during World War II;from 1944-1946. He joined the First Baptist Church of Donora at an early age. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a sister;Ruby Lomax Arnold. Survivors include his wife;Vera M.lomax;a daughter;Vicky Lomax of Brooklyn;N.Y.;two brothers;James Lomax of New York and Pressley Lomax of Belle Vernon;and two sisters;Dolores Wright of Washington;D.C.;and Odeyssa Price of New York. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Percy E.Law Jr.Funeral Home;Donora. Funeral services will be held Saturday;Dec.21;at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Donora with the Rev.Larry C.M.Weeda;pastor;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Percy E.law Jr.Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
