Obituary

Funeral services were held this morning for William L. Vivian Jr., 74, of Canonsburg, formerly of Monessen, who died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, in his home. Born Oct. 4, 1930, in Monessen, he was the son of the late William P. and Margaret Fedor Vivian. He retired in 1989 as an electronic technician for the FAA, working at the Greater Pittsburgh International Airport. He was a 1948 graduate of Monessen High School and served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Canonsburg VFW, Moose and Eagles clubs and the Monessen Elks Club. He is survived by his former wife, Mary Onda Vivian, two sons and daughters-in-law, William J. and Bernadine Vivian of Carlisle and Richard W. and Dena Vivian of Nashville, Tenn., a daughter, Valerie A. Vivian of Monongahela, a sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Nick Stanish of Cleveland, Ohio, two grandsons, William J. and Robert L. Vivian, and a great-grandson, Tyler J. Vivian. Interment was in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela (724-258-6767).
