Obituary

William L.VanDivner,55,of 302 Baltimore St.,Belle Vernon,died Monday,Sept.4,1989,at 4:37 a.m.in Mon Valley Hospital as a result of injuries sustained in an accident on Aug.28 on Finley Road,Rostraver Township. He was born in Belle Vernon,Dec.4,1933,a son of the late James and Thelma Headley VanDivner. Mr.VanDivner was a member of the Bethany Bible Fellowship of Twilight and a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area. He had been employed at the former Monessen Southwestern Railroad of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by his wife,Donna Stark VanDivner on March 10,1989,and a brother,Arthur VanDivner,in 1983. He is survived by two sons,William C.VanDiver of Belle Vernon R.D.3 and Bobby R.VanDivner of Dillsburg,one sister,Janice VanDivner of Phoenix,Ariz.,two grandchildren,William J.and Laura VanDivner,his mother-in-law,Eleanor Stark ,and aunt,Lillian Pesi,both of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home,Inc.700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m.in the funeral home with Dr.Thomas St.Clair of the First United Methodist Church,,Belle Vernon,and Rev.Robert D.Brooks of the First Christian Church of Perryopolis,officiating. Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
