William L.VanDivner;55;of 302 Baltimore St.;Belle Vernon;died Monday;Sept.4;1989;at 4:37 a.m.in Mon Valley Hospital as a result of injuries sustained in an accident on Aug.28 on Finley Road;Rostraver Township. He was born in Belle Vernon;Dec.4;1933;a son of the late James and Thelma Headley VanDivner. Mr.VanDivner was a member of the Bethany Bible Fellowship of Twilight and a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area. He had been employed at the former Monessen Southwestern Railroad of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Donna Stark VanDivner on March 10;1989;and a brother;Arthur VanDivner;in 1983. He is survived by two sons;William C.VanDiver of Belle Vernon R.D.3 and Bobby R.VanDivner of Dillsburg;one sister;Janice VanDivner of Phoenix;Ariz.;two grandchildren;William J.and Laura VanDivner;his mother-in-law;Eleanor Stark ;and aunt;Lillian Pesi;both of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home;Inc.700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m.in the funeral home with Dr.Thomas St.Clair of the First United Methodist Church;;Belle Vernon;and Rev.Robert D.Brooks of the First Christian Church of Perryopolis;officiating. Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
