Monessen; died Thursday; May
8; 1997; in the Washington
Hospital.
He was born Feb. 8; 1911; in
Charleroi; a son of the late Louis
and Julianna Horvath.
Mr. Bond was a member of
the Belle Vernon United
Methodist Church.
He was a retired steel worker
from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh
Steel Co.; Monessen Plant.
Surviving are a son; William
J. Bond of Lexington; Ky.; a
step-son; Donald Johnson of
Perryopolis; two sisters; Emma
Dolan of Pittsburgh and Alice
Madeira of Morgantown;
W.Va.; three grandchildren;
and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents; he
was preceded in death by his
wife; Kathryn E. Bond; on Aug.
28; 1982; a step-son; Gerald
Johnson in August of 1997; and
a brother; Louis Horvath.
Friends will be received in
the Eley/McCrory Funeral
Home Inc.; 334 Main St.; Fayette
City; Saturday from 7 to 9
p.m.and Sunday from noon to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday until 11 a.m.;the hour of service in the funeral home with the Rev.S.Miles McConnell officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery;Belle Vernon. The Eley/McCrory Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of the arrangements.
