William J.Saunders;41;of 118 Crest Avenue;Charleroi;died Friday;June 17;1955;at 4:45 a.m.;after an illness of one year. Mr.Saunders was born in West Virginia;October 4;1913;and was a processing engineer at the local plant of Corning Glass Works. He was a member of the Cooperative Club of the Corning plant here. He is survived by his wife;Marie Saunders;two sons;William;Jr.;and Donald at home;one daughter;Helen Louise;also at home;his mother;Mrs.Hazel McNutt and his step-father;Bert McNutt of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the Michael A.Melinchak Funeral Home during hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held there Monday;June 20;1955;at 2 p.m.;in charge of Rev.Robert Laing;and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.
