William J. Peck of Lock View,died at his home,Thursday, November 6,1952 at 11 a.m. He was born in Greenfield,Pa.,June 8,1865, the son of Chauncy and Elizabeth Cordner Peck. He came to Charleroi twenty-nine years ago from Carbondale. He is survived by his wife, Bessie Peck;two sons, George Raymond Peck at home and William E. Peck of Coal Center;three daughters, Mrs. Lydia Halligan of Middletown, New York,Mrs. Martha Chew of Lock View and Mrs. Myrtle Mugrage of Maple Creek;one sister,Mrs. Gertrude Doran of Denver,Colorado;thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received at the Francis C. Slezak Funeral Home. Services will be held there Monday,November 10,1952, at 2 p.m.,and interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. Francis C. Slezak is the funeral director.
