Funeral services were held yesterday for William J. Cierebiej; 83; formerly of Bentleyville; who died Thursday; May 4; 2006; in the Washington County Health Center. A son of the late Clement and Eleanore Tolowsky Cierebiej; he was born in Bentleyville on Aug. 5; 1922. Until his recent illness; he had been a resident of Bentleyville since 1969 and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include three sisters; Martha Miklasevich; of Polaski; Helen Cierebiej; of Punxsutawney; and Patricia Jacobs; of Charleroi; and three brothers; Edward Cierebiej; of Willoughby; Ohio; Henry Cirbee; of Hyattsville; Md.; and Albert Cierebiej; of Hanesville; Wash. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by two sisters; Eleanore; in infancy; and Josephine Hamilton; in 1992.
