William H. Igoe,87,of 512 Locust St.,Belle Vernon,died Monday Aug. 16,1976 at 6 p.m. in the Mountain View Division of the Center County Hospital Association in State College,Pa. Mr. Igoe was born in Republic on Aug. 1,1889,a son of the late John Thomas and Mary Jane Mallard Igoe. He was a retired employee of the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.and was a resident of Belle Vernon for the past 60 years. Mr. Igoe was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon and the F&AM Lodge 643 in Belle Vernon. Survivors include his widow, Jane Waite Igoe; two sons, William D. Igoe of Mansfield,Pa and John W. Igoe of Monroeville; two daughters, Mrs. J. Wallace (Beth) Miller of Edinboro and Mrs. R.P. (Lee) Bruce of State College; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home in Belle Vernon from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and until the time of the service on Thursday at 130 p.m.,with the Rev. Dr. S. Arthur Talman,pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson,funeral director in charge.
