Obituary

William Haines,aged 68 years, died in Charleroi-Monessen hospital at 6:45 p.m.,Friday, March 21,1941. Mr. Haines, a resident of Belle Vernon for twenty-seven years,had been in failing health for about a year. The deceased was born in Greene County,Penna.on August 30,1873.  He was a member of the Baptist Church at Girard's Fort, Greene County. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Louise Jane Haines; one daughter, Mrs. Wayne Landerback of Scenery Hill;three sons, Charles of Los Angeles,Calif.,James of Charleroi and Edgar of Pontiac,Michigan; six grandchildren;two brothers, Marion Haines of Carmichaels and Edgar Haines of Mount Morris and one sister, Mrs. Hannah Shriver of West Virginia. The remains are at the Melenyzer Funeral Home in Belle Vernon where friends will be received and funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. Mundy,pastor of the Belle Vernon Baptist Church.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Chas. L. Melenyzer is the funeral director in charge.
