William H. Walker Sr.,67,of 477 Schoonmaker Ave.,Monessen,died Tuesday,Dec.8,1964 in the Veterans Administration Hospital,Pittsburgh. Mr. Walker was born in Charleroi,Feb.2,1897,and had lived all his life in this vicinity. A carpenter by trade,he was a veteran of World War I with the U.S.Army and was a member of American Legion Post 22 of Charleroi. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Arthur (Florence) Waggoner,Toronto,Ohio R.D.2,Mrs. Harry (Vera) Crane,Corning,N.Y.,Mrs. Willard (Sylvia) Grimm,Mrs. Roy (Gladys) Mellott,William H. Walker Jr.,John Walker and Daniel Walker,all of Toronto,Ohio;Mrs. Luther (Marion) Belleville,Jewett,Ohio; Marjorie Walker,Cambridge,Ohio and Thomas Walker,Mineral City,Ohio; 19 grandchildren,2 great-grandchildren;a brother,John Walker,Dunlevy;four sisters,Mrs. Paul (Grace) Burelli and Mrs. George (Margaret) Brounce,both of Charleroi; Mrs. Joseph (Edith) Katinsky,Leigh Acres,Fla.and Mrs. Walter (Garnet) Arron,Detroit,Mich. His wife,Susan,a daughter,four sisters and a brother preceded him in death. Friends are being received at the Francis C. Slezak Funeral Home, Third St. and Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi,from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held Saturday,Dec.12,at 2 p.m. from the funeral home.
