George Hussar,80,of Coal Center R.D.1,formerly of Belle Vernon,died Friday,Dec. 17,1993,at 7:40 a.m. at his home. He was born Feb. 19,1913,in Punxsutawney,a son of the late Frank and Katherine Dutka Hussar. Mr. Hussar was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon,where he was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation's Monessen plant, where he was employed in the wire mill. Survivors include his wife, Anna Pobok Hussar; two sons, Alvin George Hussar of Warren,Ohio,and Larry Michael Hussar of Belle Vernon;one daughter,Mrs. David (Shirley Ann) Granato of Coal Center; 10 grandchildren;four great-grandchildren;five brothers, Basil William Hussar of the Veterans Hospital,Indiana,Pa.,John Hussar of Monessen, Michael and Frank Hussar,both of Belle Vernon,and Edward Hussar of Fayette City;and three sisters, Mrs. Alex (Margaret) Kiski of Ellsworth,Anna Regal of Belle Vernon and Mrs. John (Kathryn) Prokopovitch of Perryopolis. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by three sisters, Susan Chunko,Helen Magatz and Mary Trembush. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 nd 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. Relatives and friends will gather in Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church,Mary Street, Belle Vernon,at 9 a.m. Monday at which time funeral srvices will be held with the Rev. John Kluchko,pastor,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Parastas service will be held Sunday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. The Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
