Obituary

William G.,84,of 711 Green St.,Belle Vernon,died at 6:50 p.m. Sunday,Oct.5,1969,in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital after a lingering illness. Mr.Nichols was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Surviving are his widow,Bridget Griffin Nichols,three daughters,Mrs.Emil (Mary) Kubin of Belle Vernon,with whom he made his home,Mrs.Francis (Margaret) Phillips of California,Pa.,Mrs.Raymond (Kathryn) Lacovicz of Belle Vernon,two sons,William G. of Tampa,Fla.,Joseph E. of Belle Vernon,s sister,Ms.Sarah Bailey of Monessen,four brothers,Isaiah of Belle Vernon,David of New Derry,James of Grindstone,George of Belle Vernon,10 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. Friends will be received at the Harold R.Toner Funeral home,Belle Vernon,from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. starting Oct.7. Prayers there Thursday,Oct.9 at 11 a.m. with the Very Rev.Martin J.O'Toole,pastor of St.Sebastian R.C.Church in Belle Vernon,officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery.
