Obituary

William G.Hixenbaugh of 5284 South Ave.,Broadman,Ohio,died Monday,March 9,1987,at 3 a.m.in the Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital. He was 60. Mr.Hixenbaugh was born May 5,1926,in Brooklyn,N.Y.,a son of the late James and Ella Ellis Hixenbaugh. A resident of the Youngstown area the past 10 years he was formerly of Belle Vernon. A veteran of World War II,Mr.Hixenbaugh was a member of the Charleroi American Legion. A former employee of the Page Plant of American Chain and Cable in Monessen,he had worked at the Fisher Body Plant in Lordstown,Ohio,for the past 10 years. Survivors include his wife,Iris Rogusky Hixenbaugh,four sons,William Hixenbaugh of Lynnhurst,Ohio,Joseph Hixenbaugh of Brook Park,Ohio,Theodore Hixenbaugh of Indianapolis,Ind.and John Taylor of Belle Haven,Va.,three daughters,Linda Robbins of Pocomoke,Md.,Vicki Parsons and another daughter,three stepsons,Ronald Templin of Duluth,Minn.,Michael Templin of Austintown,Ohio,and Robert Cannon of Beres,Ohio,one stepdaughter,Kimberly Cannon at home,several grandchildren,two brothers,Jack of Cleveland,Ohio and James of Apple Valley,Calif.,three stepbrothers,Michael of Fayette City,Richard and another stepbrother,four sisters,Pauline Rhoden of Cleveland,Ohio,Anita Fisher and Esther Forsythe,both of Charleroi and Anna Bryan of Vancouver,Wash.and two stepsisters,Mary Lou Mcgill of Dawson and Janet Hixenbaugh of Perryopolis. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Thursday,March 12,at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Robert D.Brooks,pastor of the First Christian Church of Perryopolis,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
