Funeral services were held this morning for William G.Hega Sr.of Stockdale;who died Saturday;Aug.20;1983;at 11:03 p.m. in the Mon Valley Hospital. He was 76. Mr.Hega was born Nov.26;1906;in Charleroi;a son of the late George J.and Mary Hega. A lifelong resident of the mid-Mon Valley;he was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon. Mr.Hega was a veteran of World War II;having served in the U.S.Army. He retired in 1972 from the Allenport Plant of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.;where he had been employed as a shearman. Survivors include his widow;Ann Krivacek Hega;two sons;William G.Hega Jr.at home and John Richard Hega of Monessen;one daughter;Mrs.Constantine (Judith) Caterini of Belle Vernon;six sisters;one brother;and four grandchildren. Private family visitation was held Monday at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. A Mass of Christian Burial was held this morning;Tuesday;Aug.23;1983;at St.Sebastian R.C.Church followed by burial in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
