Obituary

William F.McCullough of Fort Lauderdale,Fla.,a former Mon Valley resident,died Monday,Sept.21,1981,in Shadyside Hospital,Pittsburgh. He was 49. Mr.McCullough was born April 12,1932,in Belle Vernon,a son of the late Clarence McCullough Sr.,who died July 31,1966,and Helen Walkush McCullough,who survives,of Greensburg. He retired in 1975 from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.and moved to Fort Lauderdale three years ago after having lived in the mid-Mon Valley up until that time. A Catholic by faith,he was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the U.S.Navy and was a member of the VFW Post in Fort Lauderdale. In addition to his mother,he is survived by his widow,Edith Caton McCullough of Monessen,two sons,Danny and William McCullough Jr.,both of Monessen,two daughters,Mrs.Edward (Darlene) Rodden and Edith McCullough,both of Monessen,one stepson,Robert McCullough of Monessen,two step-daughters,Mrs.Donald (Rita) Porter of Monessen and Mrs.Donald (Patricia) Zelenski of Charleroi,two brothers,Clarence (Mac) McCullough Jr.of Houston,Pa.,and Robert D.McCullough of Centerville,three sisters,Mrs.James (Helen) Salisbury of Irwin,Mrs.Wallace Romanski of Long Branch and Mrs.George (Barbara) Moorehead of West Newton,and three grandchildren. In addition to his father,Mr.McCullough was preceded in death by two brothers,Edward and George. Friends will be received in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Wednesday. A prayer service will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 9:30 a.m.followed at 10 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial is St.Sebastian R.C.Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
