Obituary

William F. Dittman,619 Reed avenue,proprietor of Dittman's Flower store in Donner avenue and the Dittman greenhouse at Lynnwood,died Tuesday morning,August 26,1947 at 11:50 a.m. in the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital.  He was aged 51 years. Mr. Dittman was admitted to the hospital two weeks ago after suffering a heart attack and although several specialists were called in consultation,his condition did not improve. He had been a resident of Monessen for the past 25 years,coming here from Indiana.  A veteran of World War I,Mr. Dittman was a member of the Monessen Rotary Club,the Sportsmen's Association,Chamber of Commerce,the F.O. Eagles,the American Legion and the Belle Vernon Board of Trade. Surviving are his wife,Mrs. Pearl Prewitt Dittman and three sisters, all residing in the state of Indiana. Friends are being received at the Melenyzer Funeral home in Belle Vernon.  Services will be held Friday,August 29 at 2 p.m.  Interment, Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Charles L. Melenyzer and Edwin F. Melenyzer,funeral directors.
