William E. Weitz of 406 Mutich St.,Belle Vernon,died Saturday,June 27,1987,at 7:10 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. He was 61. Mr. Weitz was born June 21,1926,in New Castle,a son of the late William and Edna Beight Weitz. A resident of Belle Vernon since 1963,he was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon. Mr. Weitz was an Army veteran of World War II and was an employee of the Monessen plant of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp,where he worked in the steam plant. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son,William R. Weitz,April 19,1976. Survivors include his wife,Arlene Smith Weitz;a daughter and son-in-law,Leah and David Hall of Brownsville;a grandson,David Hall Jr.;and his father-in-law,Russell B. Smith of Monessen. There will be no visitation. The Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home, 700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon is in charge of arrangements.
