William Novisel Sr.; 80; of Monongahela; died Wednesday; Aug. 31; 2011; at 6:45 p.m. at Residence at Hilltop; Carroll Township. Born Sept. 15; 1930; in Washington Township; he was the son of the late Bertha Shaw. A resident of Monongahela; Mr. Novisel was Catholic by faith and was a retired Steam Turbine Engineer from Pepco; Washington; D.C. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; William Novisel Jr. and wife; Lori; of Mount Airy; Md.; and Barry and Mary Novisel; of Monongahela; one daughter; Diane Novisel; of New Alexandria; and his late wife’s daughter; Robin Travaline; of Red Hill; Pa.; seven grandchildren; Dylan Novisel; Ashlyn Novisel; Sean Novisel; Tyler Novisel; Blair Rodgers; Seth Travaline; and Lucinda Travaline; two brothers; Jimmy Shaw; of Lanham; Md.; and George Shaw; of Fayette City; two sisters; Patty Maxwell; of Fairhope and Marion Tootsey; of Belle Vernon. He was preceded in death by his first wife; Ruth Ann Rodgers Novisel; second wife; Gloria Jean Moon Novisel; and a brother; John Shaw.
