William D.Franchini;of 714 Henry St.;Belle Vernon;died Tuesday;Nov.30;1982 at 10:25 a.m. at his home. He was 83. Born Aug.3;1899;in DiPietrabounia;Italy;he was the son of the late Gervasio and Annunziata Ansaldi Franchini. He was preceded in death by his wife;Emma Pieri Franchini in July;1981. Also precededing him in death were four sisters;Irma Franchini;Josephine Brizzi;Ida Mugnani and Mary Benedetti and a brother;Hugo Franchini. Surviving are many nieces and nephews. Mr.Franchini had been a resident of the Belle Vernon community for the past 34 years. He attended St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. He was a member of the Giuseppe Garibaldi Beneficial Society of Charleroi and the Charleroi and Belle Vernon Golden Agers. He retired in 1964 from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp;Allenport Plant;where he had been a checker in the tube mill. Friends are being received on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where blessing services will be held Friday;Dec.3;at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
