A former Monessen resident,William C. Brown,71, died Friday,March 8,1963,at 2:30 a.m. at his late home in Fellsburg. Mr. Brown moved to Fellsburg in 1948 from Monessen. He was a member of the Fellsburg Methodist Church and retired in 1958 from the Page Division of the American Chain and Cable Co.in Monessen,where he had been employed as a wire drawer. He was born in Rostraver Twp.on May 3,1891,a son of the late David and Harriet Grant Brown. Surviving are his widow,Mary Belle Beadling Brown;two sons,David of Keokuk of Iowa,and Clarence of Fellsburg;five daughters,the Rev. Maybelle Bonney of Tarrs,Pa.,Mrs. Julius (Ovada) Barbai of Uniontown,Mrs. Boyd (Audrey) Clingerman of Fellsburg,Mrs. Wagner (Shirley) Osborn of St. Petersburg,Fla.,and Mrs. James (Olive) Sarber of Fellsburg;one brother,James and a sister,Lottie Brown,both of Iron City Hill. Eighteen grandchildren also survivie. Friends will be received at the Edwin Melenyzer Funeral Home in Monessen after 7 p.m. March 8. Services there Sunday,March 10,at 2:30 p.m. in charge of the Rev. Harold Kimmins,pastor of Fells Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. Edwin Melenyzer,funeral director.
