Obituary

William Carrier, Jr 96, o 6316 East garfield St.petersburg,Ohio,died Friday,June 1,1979.  A former Belle Vernon resident, he was born in Nishannock Falls Pa March1,1883, son of the late William and Ada Bennett Carrier Sr. He had lived in Ohio since 1973 having been retired from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.He was preceded in death by his first wife Mollie Brewer and his second wife, Elizabeth Holmes.  Surviving are two daughters,Mrs. James (Gladys) Jones of R D 2 Charleroi, Mrs John (Bertha) Kennedy of Petersburg,Ohio, and a stepdaughter Mrs Albert (Mildred) Yoder of West Newton. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.  Services were held Monday morning ,June 14,1979 in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home 700 Broad Ave Belle Vernon with Dr.Elmer C Lewis of Fayette City officiating. Burial was in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
