Obituary

William C. Wagner, 78, of Youngwood, formerly of Belle Vernon, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2001, in I.H.S. of Greater Pittsburgh, Hempfield Township. He was born March 9, 1923, in Belle Vernon, a son of the late William and Effie Hartzel Wagner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Smith Wagner, his second wife, Dorothy Overholt Wagner, two brothers, and three sisters. He is survived by one son, William Calvin Wagner and his wife, Eileen, of Delmont, a daughter, Diane N. Dyky and husband, Walter, of Westminster, Md., four granddaughters, two stepsons, Jeffory Long and wife, Paula, of Columbus, Ohio and Jonathan Long and wife, Jennifer, of Colchester, Conn., two stepdaughters, Macia Sue Methven of Santa Maria, Calif., and Mary Beth Jaber and husband, George, of Pittsburgh, nine stepgrandchildren and six stepgreat-grandchildren, two brothers, Larry Wagner and wife, Janet, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Robert Wagner and wife, Sue, of Denver, Colo., one sister, Marian Krivda and husband, George, of Cleveland, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of 490th Bomb Group in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was the owner of the Wagner Randel Produce for 49 years. He was a member of the New Stanton Assembly of God Church, a member and past master of Belle Vernon Lodge 643 F&AM,a past dostrict deputy grand master of the 43rd Masonic district and thrice potent master of the Uniontown Lodge of Perfection,the Pittsburgh consistory and the Pittsburgh Syria Temple. Friends will b received at the C.RICHARD McCAULEY FUNERAL HOME INC.,Youngwood,on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m.in the New Stanton Assembly of God Church with the Rev.Steve Motter officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. There will be a Masonic service Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.in the funeral home.
