William C Hughes; 63; of 1013 Henry St.; Belle Vernon;died Saturday;Oct.1;1977; at 5:05 a.m. in Mercy Hospital;Pittsburgh. Mr Hughes was born in Monessen on July 24; 1914; a son of the late William and Lillie Hughes. He had lived in Belle Vernon since 1945; moving from Monessen. Mr Hughes was a retired employee of the Steam Department at the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.   Survivors include his widow; Helen M. Drotos Hughes; one daughter; Suzan H. Hughes; at home; and two brothers; Woodrow W. Hughes of Fellsburg and Charles E.Hughes of McKeesport.  Friends will be received in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.on Sunday and Monday.  Services will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 10 a.m.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director in charge.
