William C.Hoyes Sr.;75;of 217 First Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Sunday;Jan.1;1967;at 3 a.m.in Presbyterian Hospital;Pittsburgh. Originally a glass worker;Mr.Hoyes;for many years;was employed as a structural worker at the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. He retired in 1961. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge of Belle Vernon. He spent most of his life in the Belle Vernon area. Mr.Hoyes was born July 24;1891. Surviving are his widow;Alice;a son;William E.of Belle Vernon;two daughters;Mrs.Walter S. (Anna) Morris of Jacksonville;Fla.;and Mrs.Walter P.(Edythe) Ferencz of Belle Vernon;two sisters;Mrs.Thomas (Lucy) Brown of Fayette City and Mrs.Edna Rossell of Belle Vernon;five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Friends are being received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;Belle Vernon. Service there Wednesday;Jan.4;at 2 p.m. with the Rev.Richard S.Snyder;pastor of the First Methodist Church of Belle Vernon;officiating. Interment;Belle Vernon Cemetery.
