Obituary

William C.Hoyes Sr.,75,of 217 First Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Sunday,Jan.1,1967,at 3 a.m.in Presbyterian Hospital,Pittsburgh. Originally a glass worker,Mr.Hoyes,for many years,was employed as a structural worker at the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. He retired in 1961. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge of Belle Vernon. He spent most of his life in the Belle Vernon area. Mr.Hoyes was born July 24,1891. Surviving are his widow,Alice,a son,William E.of Belle Vernon,two daughters,Mrs.Walter S. (Anna) Morris of Jacksonville,Fla.,and Mrs.Walter P.(Edythe) Ferencz of Belle Vernon,two sisters,Mrs.Thomas (Lucy) Brown of Fayette City and Mrs.Edna Rossell of Belle Vernon,five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Friends are being received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon. Service there Wednesday,Jan.4,at 2 p.m. with the Rev.Richard S.Snyder,pastor of the First Methodist Church of Belle Vernon,officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery.
