Obituary

William Bill Watson, 73, of Monessen, passed away peacefully in his home, with his loving family by his side, on July 10, 2012. He was born in Arnold City on May 21, 1939, a son of the late John and Bessie Davis Watson. Bill was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. He was the beloved husband of 51 years to Rita Lang Watson. In addition to his wife, survivors include four sons and one daughter-in-law, William Watson, of Speers, John Watson, of Monessen, James Watson, of Donora, and Kevin Watson and his wife, Denise, of Virginia Beach, Va., one daughter and son-in-law, AnnaMarie Vasquez and her husband, Martin, of North Belle Vernon, 10 grandchildren, Marty and Shaina Vasquez, Adam, Dylan and Ryan Watson, Tyler Watson, Ashley Coulson, Josh Anderson, Cami and Ava Watson, his best buddy, Pudgy and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Grace Stine and her husband, Jack, of Monongahela, and Shirley Grados and her husband, Charlie, of Brownstown. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Kenneth, John Puddin, Raymond Punkin, and Wade Watson, and four sisters, Emma Karlsin, Ruth Hails, Charlotte Malys and Evelyn Watson. Friends will be received Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., (724) 929-5300, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com. A blessing service will be in the funeral home Friday at 12:30 p.m. with Father Michael Crookston, pastor, of Epiphany of Our Lord Church in Monessen, officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mon Valley EMS or a charity of your choice.
