Obituary

William H. Fagan of 113 Lynnwood Ave., Belle Vernon, died Tuesday, May 27, 1986, at 10:30 a.m. in McKeesport Hospital. He was 63. Mr. Fagan was born June 14, 1922, in Donora, a son of the late Malvern and Nellie Little Fagan. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, American Legion Post 659 and F&AM Lodge 643, all of Belle Vernon. He was also a member of the Uniontown Lodge of Perfection. A former mechanic, Mr. Fagan had been service manager at Roley's Garage in Belle Vernon until retiring in May 1983 because of poor health. He was a veteran of World War II, having served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Force. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Fagan, in 1981. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Stevenson Fagan, two sons, David W. of MonroeviUe and Robert S. of New Stanton, one brother, John of Webster, three sisters, Mary Ellen Evans of Belle Vernon, Jean Reed of Monessen and Ruth Fagan of Donora. and five grandchildren. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon,where services will be held Friday,May 30,at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Charles LaPlaca,pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 services will be held Thursday at 7:15 p.m.in the funeral home,followed by Masonic services by Belle Vernon Lodge 643 at 8 p.m. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
