William B. Burgess Sr.; 68; of Monessen; departed this life on Thursday; April 24; 2008; at his home. Born January 29; 1940; in North Charleroi; he was the son of the late Howard and Christine Jones Burgess. He was a retired employee of Corning Glass in Charleroi. Survivors include his loving wife; Nichole Cottingham-Burgess; two sons; William B. (Theresa) Burgess Jr.; of Charleroi; and Jason H. (Angie) Burgess; of Washington; three daughters; Billy Jo Macz; of Donora; and Dawn Burgess and Marty Burgess; both of Washington; one stepson; Grady L. Johnson; of Rochester; N.Y.; four stepdaughters; Margaret A. Dukes; Monique C. Allen; Jeannine L. Johnson and Eunice A. Johnson; all of Rochester; N.Y.; one brother; Harry (Brenda) Burgess; of Rochester; N.Y.; one sister; Rosetta (Douglas) Johnson; of Pricedale; one sister-in-law; Regina Malone; of Rochester; N.Y.; six grandchildren; 17 step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren; 10 foster children; and a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by one son; Tony Burgess; one brother; Howard Burgess Jr.; and one sister-in-law; Elaine Cottingham. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday; April 30; from 10 to 11 a.m.; the hour of service in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church; 230 Reed Ave.; Monessen; with the Rev.
