William A.Meyer;72;of Belle Vernon R.D.4;formerly of Monessen;died Wednesday;Feb.15;1967;at 11:15 a.m.following surgery in Latrobe Hospital. Mr.Meyer retired in 1960 from the galvanized department of the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. A veteran of World War I;he served with the U.S.Army. He was a member of St.Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Monessen;Veterans of the 80th Division;U.S.Army;veterans of Foreign Wars;Newell Post;American Legion Post 659;Belle Vernon. Born in Braddock;he lived in Monessen many years;moving to his Belle Vernon address in 1939. Surviving are his widow;Ruth Charlton Meyer;a daughter;Mrs.Charles (Muriel) Nelepa of Belle Vernon;a son Barton of Lucas;Ohio;two grandchildren;a sister;Mrs.Mary Campbell of Monessen;four brothers;Frank of Pittsburgh;Calif.;Ralph of Salem Road;Belle Vernon R.D.;John of Johnstown and Merle of Monessen. Friends are being received at the H.Denver Rhome Funeral Home;Monessen.
