Obituary

William Apodiakos, 69, of 631
Tyrol Boulevard, Monessen,
died Monday, Oct. 29, 1990, in
Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pa. He had been visiting
with his son and daughter-in-law
in Harrisburg.
Mr. Apodiakos was born July
1,1921, in Monessen, a son of the
late George J. and Mary Mermigas Apodiakos.
A member of St. Spyridon
Greek Orthodox Church,
Monessen, he was retired from
the tube mill of the WheelingPittsburgh Steel Corporation's
Monessen plant.
Mr. Apodiakos was a retired
major in the Air Force
Reserves. He was a member of
Victory Hill Gun Club, Roscoe
Gun Club, Belle Vernon
American Legion Post 659, the
Bill Air Force Historical Society
and AARP.
In addition to his parents, he
was preceded in death by his
wife, Kaliopc Kally Kafkalas
Apodiakos, in 1962.
Survivors include one
daughter, Mrs. Stewart D.
(Maria) Hough of Speers, a son
and daughter-in-law, George S.
and Janice Apodiakos of Harrisburg, two sisters, Lamona
Sfakianos of Baltimore, Md.,
and Mrs. Nick (Catherine) Alatsis of Monessen, two brothers,
John and Theodore. (Ted)
Apodiakos, both of Monessen,
several nieces, nephews, greatnieces and great-nephews.
Friends will be received
Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and
Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. in the Rhome Funeral
Home Inc., 1209 Grand Blvd.,
