Willard M. (Red) Jones,87,of Fayette City,died Monday, Oct. 2,1995. Born Nov. 2,1907,in Fayette City,he was the son of the late Ruben and Ida Jones. He was Protestant by faith. Mr. Jones was retired from the Allenport plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.,where he was general foreman of the No. 5 Finish nd Coupling Department. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by his wife,Lavinia Lindey Jones;by a great-granddughter,Jenna Jones in 1994;and by two sisters, Thelma Dreyer and Geraldine Nelson. Surviving are one daughter,Phyllis Eileen Godissart of Fayette City;three sons and daughters-in-law,Donald R. and Elva Jones of Fairhope,Robert C. and Debbie Jones of Greensburg and Willard R. and Linda Jones of Fayette City R.D.;nine grandchildren and two sisters, Genevieve Williams of Belle Vernon and Alverda Devers of Monongahela. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.,Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday until 1 p.m. in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home.
