A former Belle Vernon area barber,Willard A. (Doc) Sale, 60, of 1606 Dublin Dr.,Silver Spring,Md.,was dead on arrival at Charleroi-Monessen Hospital Tuesday,May 10,1966 at 8:90 p.m. Mr. Sale had been visiting with his brother-in-law,Belle Vernon Mayor William Mascara. The two had attended a Lions Club meeting and en route home,Mr.Sale complained of being ill and was taken to the hospital. He had suffered a heart attack two months ago in Maryland. Born in Belle Vernon, April 5, 1906,Mr. Sale continued his barber trade and learned the trade of hairdressing after moving from Belle Vernon to Silver Spring. He was retired in November, 1965. He was a member of Wallace Memorial U. P. Church, Hyattsville.Md. Surviving are his widow, Hilda Muir Sale;a son, Donald M., Mechanicsburg: a daughter, Mrs. Leon (Janet) Kaltenbach, Uniontown,his mother, Mrs. Elsie Sale,Baltimore,Md.,two sisters,Katherine Sale of Mechanicsburg and Mrs. James (Margaret) McIntosh,Huston,Tex.,and six grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,after 7 p.m. on Wednesday,May 11. Services will be conducted from the fuenral home on Friday,May 13,at 1:30 p.m. Dr. S.
