Willa B.Cribbs of 906 Ninth St.;Monessen;died Friday;Jan.17;1986;at 8:45 a.m. in the Washington County Health Center;Washington;Pa. She was 74. Mrs.Cribbs was born (Oct.11;1911 or Dec.10;1911);in Randolph;Ala.;a daughter of the late Brown Goodson and Unice Garner. She was a Monessen resident for eight years and had previously lived in Belle Vernon. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church;Belle Vernon;for over 50 years and was a dedicated worker in civic and church affairs all of her adult life as long as her health permitted. Surviving are her step-mother;Maggie Goodson;of Monongahela;two friends;Norman Pete and Dorothy Branche;both of Monessen and with whom she made her home;one sister;Johnny Mae Armstrong;of Detroit;Mich.;two sisters-in-law;Lucille Cribbs of Belle Vernon and Hallie Goodson of Monongahela;and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 9 p.m. at the Antioch Baptist Church;Belle Vernon. Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the church;with the Rev.Luther Wormack;pastor;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery;Belle Vernon. The William R.Taylor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
