Wilbert M.(Cuckoo) Floyd;72;of Monessen;died Tuesday;Sept.2;1997 in the Veterans Hospital;Aspinwall. He was born April 10;1925;in Monessen;a son of the late Wilbert M.and Lucy (Mohley) Floyd. He attended Monessen High School. He was a disabled veteran;having served in the U.S.Army during World War II. He was baptised at the St.Paul Baptist Church;Donora. Survivors include his wife;Josephine Floyd;12 children;Wilma;Lucy Jean;Jewel;Douglas;Clemantine;Lucas;McKinley;Connie;Robin;Kay;Helene and Wilbert M.(Ricco) Floyd Jr.and Clarence Tillman;five step-children;Curtis Davis and Robert;Patricia;Gloria and Kathy Joyner;one sister;Mary Floyd of Maryland;four brothers;Francis Floyd of Virginia;James and Thomas Floyd;both of Monessen;Robert Floyd of Donora. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by one sister;Melissa Hill. Friends will be received Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.in the Mt.Calvary Baptist Church;Monessen;where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Griffin Mason officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home;Monessen;is in charge of the arrangements.
