died suddenly Tuesday;Aug.23;1983; at 12:30
a.m. in the Mon Valley
Hospital. He was 65.
Mr. Norris was born Oct.31;1917; in Clearfield. Pa.; a
son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Fred J. Norris.
He was a member and past
president of the Rotary Club
in Charleroi.
Mr. Norris was a member
and parliamentarian of the
Rostraver Emergency
Medical Service (REMS).
A former resident of
Washington. Pa.; he had lived
in Lynnwood since 1953.
Mr. Norris was a veteran of
World War II; having served
as a sergeant with the Air Corps. He was a former manager of the S.A. Meter Jewelry Store in Charleroi. In addition to his parents;Mr.Norris was preceded in death by his wife;Helen Higgins Norris;July 1;1979. Survivors include one daughter;Joyce Atkinson of West Newton;three sisters;Mrs.Virginia Neahr of Rockford;Mich.;and Mrs.Margaret Williams and Miss Kathryn Nan Morris;both of LeMoyne;Pa.;and five grandchildren;Jodi;John;Jeff;Jami and Jennifer. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where services will be held Thursday;Aug.25;at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Frank DePalo;pastor of Covenant Christian Church of Belle Vernon;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson;funeral director;is in charge of arrangements.
