Obituary

Wassil Praskavich,220 Reed Ave.,Monessen,died Monday morning, Aug. 7,1961 at 5:15 o'clock in Brownsville General Hospital, Brownsville. He had lived in the Belle Vernon area for about 50 years prior to moving to Monessen three years ago.  Mr. Praskavich was a member of the United Mine Workers of America and of the Russian Club, Charleroi. Surviving are the following children,Mrs. Michael (Eve) Mazur of Monessen,Mrs. Melvin (Anna) Bosetti of Belle Vernon,John of West Newton,Michael,at home,Walter of Brooklyn, N.Y.,Mrs. Albert (Helen) Wujik of Monessen,Mrs. Melvin (Nellie) Tomko of Belle Vernon,Mrs. Melvin (Doris) Guth of Gary, Ind. and Daniel of Cleveland,Ohio. Friends are being received at the Check Home for Funerals,100 Schoonmaker Ave.,Monessen after 2 p.m.on Tuesday.  Services will be held there Thursday,Aug. 10,at 1:30 p.m.  The Rev. Vladimir Soroka,pastor of Holy Trinity R.O. Church,Charleroi,will officiate. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  John Kravets, funeral director.
