Wash Wheeler,aged 93,died Tuesday morning,April 3,1956,at 1:40 o'clock at the home of his daughter,Mrs. Pearl Phillips,of 1108 Lookout street, Monessen,where he had been residing. A resident of Monessen for 49 years,Mr. Wheeler retired from the Pittsburgh Steel Co. plant here in 1950. Surviving along with Mrs. Phillips is another daughter,Mrs. Blanche Lockett,of Danville,Va.;a son, Clyde,of Monessen;14 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Draper Funeral Home,608 Sixth street, Monessen,after 7 p.m. April 3. Funeral services will be held Friday,April 6,at 11 a.m. from the Union Baptist Church in Monessen,with Rev. E.W. Jarrett officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
